Former 'American Idol' star Bo Bice has undergone emergency surgery for an intestinal problem.
According to People magazine, the 30-year-old singer is now recovering at a hospital in Nashville after his operation.
Bice's publicist Roger Widynowski said: "Bo is still in the hospital, and he's stable. He had tests in the morning and after review of said tests it was determined that surgery should be performed immediately."
"Everyone is hopeful that this surgery will correct the condition, but there is no way to know for certain. He already has changed his diet (and) lifestyle over the last few months."
According to the report, the singer was diagnosed with intussusception, a intestinal condition which usually occurs in children.
