Boyband Avenue have explained why they were kicked out of 'The X Factor' for breaking the rules of the show.
Singer and band spokesperson Jamie Tinkler said, in an interview posted on the show's official website, that the group never intended to deceive anyone.
Describing the moment that they found out that we were being booted out of the show, he said: "The second we walked in we saw Louis sitting behind a desk with a film crew. It was a lion’s den of cameras."
"We knew then that the producers had already made their decision and that we didn’t stand a chance," Tinkler said.
Avenue were kicked off the show after it emerged that they had failed to declare that they already had management.
"We knew that we had to declare any deal to the producers but were told by our then manager that it would be fine as long as we came clean before the live shows," Tinkler said.
"We are just five boys who are passionate about singing. We are just following our dreams. We got caught up in politics that we didn’t totally understand and it has back fired on us," he said.
