Emmerdale star John Nayagam was reportedly rushed from the studio to hospital after being struck down by a mystery bug.
Producers called an ambulance after the Irish actor, who plays vet Hari Prasad, grew increasingly concerned about his condition.
He was kept in at Leeds General Infirmary overnight for observation after insisting on completing work on the soap.
"John had been feeling off all day but insisted on finishing his scenes," a source told the Daily Mirror. "Once he had, it was realised he was a little worse and an ambulance was called as a precaution.
"He was conscious throughout and he was kept in for observation," he continued. "Filming wasn't affected at all because John insisted on finishing his scenes first."
