While still touring his best-selling debut 'Back to Bedlam', singer-songwriter James Blunt has revealed that he has been writing new songs with his second album in mind.
Speaking to Billboard.com about the new tracks he has written, Blunt said: "I have a handful that I love but I don't think I've completed the story yet. As for whether they make it onto the next album, I guess I'll know by the end of the tour if I still feel excited about them."
Blunt finishes touring the US in the middle of November and then plans to reunite with producer Tom Rothrock to record the follow-up to 'Back to Bedlam'.
It is hoped that the album will be released next year but Blunt said no timeframe or release date has been fixed.
