Reality TV star Anna Nicole Smith’s son died from a lethal cocktail of anti-depressants and methadone, a private pathologist hired by the former Playboy playmate model has found.
Pathologist Cyril Wecht says that 20-year-old son Daniel Smith died after taking a combination of methadone, Zoloft and Lexapro causing a heart problem.
''The fact that we have these drugs and the levels of the drugs overwhelmingly and most logically point to this being a tragic, accidental, drug-related death,'' Wecht told The Associated Press.
Smith died in his mother's hospital room in the Bahamas on September 10 after paying her a visit three days after the birth of her baby girl who she has named Dannielyn Hope.
Authorities in the Bahamas have yet to make public results of their official investigations into the circumstances of Smith's death.
Daniel Smith was an aspiring actor and often appeared on his mother's reality show on E! television, 'The Anna Nicole Show.'
