Bono will be the first guest on the new HBO music interview show hosted by the Eurhythmics' Dave Stewart.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the format of the show has been described as "musicians on musicians".
HBO has lined up six episodes of the show, which is set to debut on the cable network early next year.
On Monday night U2 and Green Day performed at the re-opening of the Superdome in New Orleans.
