Eddie Izzard and 'Babe' star James Cromwell are joining the cast of the sixth season of thriller series '24'
Cromwell will play Jack Bauer's (Kiefer Sutherland) estranged father Phillip Bauer while Izzard will play Darren McCarthy, a character described as "a villainous accomplice".
The storyline for the sixth series begins 20 months after the end of series five's storyline.
The new series of '24' begins on US television in January.
