Irish singer Aoife Mulholland has made the last five of the reality television show 'How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?'.
The 28-year-old singer from Salthill in Galway is currently third-favourite to win the show and earn the role of Maria in Andrew Lloyd Webber's new stage production of 'The Sound of Music'.
Tony Kenny, Irish spokesman for William Hill said; “Aoife is improving rapidly, and the way she’s performing at the moment, it wouldn’t be a major shock to see the Salthill songstress go all the way."
“She looks fantastic, she’s got a great voice and the audience love her. Despite what our odds say, I think she’ll win."
Siobhan Dillon, whose father hails from Dublin, is currently favourite to win the show at odds of 11/8. Connie Fisher from Pembrokeshire is the second favourite to take the lead role in the upcoming show.
