'Emmerdale' actress Verity Rushworth is heading out on patrol with police officers in her home town, to train for her character's new job in the police force.
The actress, who plays Donna Dingle in the soap, is planning to spend a day on the streets of Leeds with officers from West Yorkshire Police, in order to learn how to handcuff offenders and use a baton safely.
Rushworth said: "I'm thrilled to have been invited out with the West Yorkshire Police. I'm going to learn so much and it will be an amazing experience."
"I feel privileged to be a part of the team and I'm very much looking forward to learning a few tricks of the trade to bring to my role in 'Emmerdale'."
