Actress Brittany Murphy has split from her fiancé Joe Macaluso, whom she got engaged to last New Year's Eve.
According to People magazine, a representative for Murphy said that the pair "have amicably ended their engagement. They remain close friends and wish each other much happiness."
The couple met while Murphy was filming 'Little Black Book', on which Macaluso worked on on-set lighting.
Murphy is currently filming the animated movie 'Tinker Bell'.
