Shane Lynch has become the latest celebrity to quit the ITV reality show 'Love Island'.
Following in the footsteps of MTV star Steve-O, glamour model Alicia Douvall and basketball legend Dennis Rodman, Shane Lynch announced his departure.
After spending the day reading the bible, the former Boyzone star came to the conclusion that; "There is no woman like a woman I know back home'', a woman whom he dated in the past.
"I need to put the mistakes right. To cut a long story short, my time has come and I need to leave this place," he said.
"It's been confirmed in my heart and I don't want to wade it out in here and mosey on back and say 'by the way, I really wanted to leave but I didn't'.''
Sophie Anderton cried at the announcement as did former 'Hollyoaks' actor Lee Otway.
''I don't want you to go. I don't want you to go, I need you here," he said to Shane.
Shane's decision to depart came hours after Calum Best, who enjoyed a fling with Sophie in the past, returned to the island after appearing in the first series.
