Actress Sophie Thompson is joining the cast of 'EastEnders', and will make her debut in the autumn.
Thompson, the sister of Emma Thompson, will play a lawyer, Stella Crawford, in the soap.
Her character is described by the BBC as someone who "seems to have secrets to hide".
Thompson's other credits include 'Four Weddings and a Funeral', 'Gosford Park' and the TV series 'Persuasion' and 'The Railway Children'.
