A judge has granted actor Colin Farrell a restraining order against the woman who confronted him during a recent taping of 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'.

According to the order, issued by Los Angeles Superior Court, the woman, who was named as Dessarae Bradford, must stay at least 150 metres away from the actor until a court hearing on 16 August.

According to reports, she caused a disturbance during a recording for the chat show last week when she screamed at Farrell from the audience, while he was being interviewed, and then approached him.

She was later escorted from the building and told that she would be arrested for trespassing if she returned.

Ms Bradford reportedly took an unsuccessful legal action against the star earlier this year.
