RTÉ has revealed the line-up for the new series of 'Charity You're A Star' with more well-known faces set to take to the stage again this year in order to raise money for their chosen charities.
Among those taking part in the talent show are 'No Frontiers' presenter Kathryn Thomas, former Republic of Ireland soccer player John Aldridge, model Gayle Kaneswaren, 'Fair City' star Maclean Burke (who plays Damien Halpin in the soap) and RTÉ sports commentator Shane O'Donoghue.
Also stretching their vocal chords in the charity show will be double-act tailor Louis Copeland and soccer manager Roddy Collins, TG4 weatherman Daithi O'Sé, 'Fair City' duo Bryan Murray and Una Crawford (who play Bob and Renee in the show), 'Ros na Rún' star Aine Ni Dhroighneain and politicians Billy Kelleher TD (FF), Senator Frank Feighan (FG), Dan Boyle TD (Greens) and Senator Michael McCarthy (Labour).
Head of Entertainment for RTÉ, Kevin Linehan said: "We are delighted to be bringing back 'Charity You're A Star' – it proved to be a huge winner not just with the audiences last year but also with all the Irish charities that benefited."
The show, which begins on Saturday 29 July, will be hosted by Derek Mooney, with Brendan O'Connor, Linda Martin and Louis Walsh acting as judges again this year.
