'Coronation Street' star Bruce Jones was rushed to hospital after collapsing while filming on the set of the show.
The 53-year-old actor, who plays Les Battersby in the soap, complained of chest pains while filming scenes in the Rovers Return yesterday morning.
Producers and colleagues helped the actor to sit down and an ambulance was called to the set in Manchester.
Paramedics examined Jones and then rushed him to hospital for tests. He was released two hours later and returned to work.
An ITV spokesperson said: "He was taken to hospital but it quickly became clear he was fine. The tests didn't find anything wrong with him."
"So he got in a taxi and came back to the set around two hours later to carry on filming," the spokesperson said. "It was a bit scary for everyone, but we are just happy he is fine now."
