Television sports quiz 'They Think It's All Over' has been axed after 11 years.
The BBC announced yesterday that the quiz would not be returning for another series.
Jonathan Ross, who was one of the team captains, announced that he was quitting the show earlier this year.
The original host of the show Nick Hancock left last year and was replaced by comedian Lee Mack.
BBC1 controller Peter Fincham said that the show had reached its "natural conclusion".
"It rewrote the rule book by bringing comedy and sport together in a fresh and anarchic way. It has featured a great range of comedians rubbing shoulders with Olympic gold medalists and world champions, and has been sheer unadulterated fun," he said.
Gary Lineker, David Seaman, Phil Tufnell, Ian Wright, Boris Becker and David Gower all served as team captains during the show's 11 year run.
