Although Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood has checked into a London rehabilitation clinic for treatment of alcohol abuse, he will still join the band for the start of their European tour next month.
On Friday a spokeswoman confirmed that the 59-year-old was in rehab but she insisted that the European leg of the Stones' A Bigger Bang tour would re-launch as scheduled on 11 July in Milan, Italy.
The shows have already been delayed after Keith Richards had to undergo head surgery after falling out of a tree in Fiji.
As a result the Stones had to postpone their first 15 European concerts.
The tour has been travelling the world since August 2005.
