The Irish Film Institute will screen a short film about the work of Barry Flanagan, one of the world's most renowned sculptors, on Monday 19 June at 5.30pm.
This coincides with Flanagan's first ever Irish exhibition.
Ten giant bronze sculptures - eight hares, an elephant and a pair of cougars - are currently on display on Dublin's O'Connell Street.
A major retrospective, entitled Barry Flanagan: Sculpture, will open at the Irish Museum of Modern Art on 28 June.
Welsh by birth, Flanagan now lives in Dublin and has become an Irish citizen.
The film about his work is called 'The Killing Detail' and the screening will be followed by a talk with the French director Carine Asscher, co-writer Bernard Marcadé and Barry Flanagan himself, in a very rare public interview, hosted by Bruce Arnold.
Flanagan's sculpture 'Birdbath' is on display in the atrium of the IFI until 25 June.
For tickets to the screening and talk, please contact the Irish Film Institute box office on 01-6795744.
