It has been announced that a film version of Frank McCourt's memoir 'Teacher Man' is being developed.
Variety reports that McCourt's book will be adapted for the screen by Ron Bass, who won a Best Original Screenplay Oscar for 'Rain Man'.
'Teacher Man' chronicled McCourt's experiences as a teacher in New York's public school system over a 30-year period.
The film version will focus on the changes in the teacher's character over the years.
