Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has named her newborn daughter Bluebell Madonna.
In an interview with Hello! magazine, Halliwell said there were a number of reasons behind her choice of name.
"As I walked round the park in the last few weeks of pregnancy, I seemed to see bluebells everywhere," she said.
"But what really clinched it for me was my mother telling me that the bluebell is increasingly rare - so it's precious flower, which seems just right for my daughter."
Halliwell's grandmother was also a member of a Parisian dance troupe called the Bluebells and one of her heroines is Scarlett O'Hara in 'Gone With The Wind', who named her daughter Bonnie Blue.
Speaking about motherhood, the singer said: "It's just overwhelming - the biggest life-changing experience that's ever happened to me."
"No success, nor all the money in the world could match being a mother with Bluebell in my arms," she said.
