Kaiser Chiefs singer Ricky Wilson has been injured in a hit and run accident in Leeds.
The singer was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing on Sunday evening when the accident happened.
According to the band's official website, Wilson escaped with minor injuries, including a broken nose and bruising.
A posting on the website said: "He's the luckiest man alive, because he is still alive, it sounds daft, but a 'Ricky trademark jump' has probably saved his life."
"The jump meant he was flipped over the top of the car, hitting the windscreen, rather than getting trapped under it. He was crossing on a green pedestrian light."
The statement assured fans that Wilson was on the road to recovery and that the band's next live dates in Holland and Germany would go ahead as scheduled.
