'EastEnders' topped seven categories at the British Soap Awards, claiming the title of Best Show ahead of rival soaps.

'Coronation Street' and 'Emmerdale' both picked up four awards at the ceremony in London, which was hosted by Fern Britton and Phillip Schofield.

Louisa Lytton, who plays troubled teenager Ruby Allen in 'EastEnders' was named Sexiest Female. Her on-screen father Johnny Allen, played by Billy Murray, was named Villian of the Year.

The Sexiest Male award went to 'Coronation Street' star Richard Fleeshman, who plays Craig Harris.

Ross Kemp picked up the Best Actor award for 'EastEnders', for his portrayal of Grant Mitchell, who recently returned to Albert Square with his daughter.

Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey Slater in 'EastEnders', was named as Best Actress. The Best Newcomer award was claimed by her on-screen boyfriend Bradley Branning, played by Charlie Clements.

'EastEnders' also picked up the award for Best Single Episode for the Armistice Day edition.

'Coronation Street' scooped the award for Best On-Screen Partnership for Barbara Knox and Malcolm Hebden, who play Rita Sullivan and Norris Cole respectively.

Bradley Walsh, who plays factory boss Danny Baldwin in 'Coronation Street', picked up the award for Best Dramatic Performance.

Johnny Briggs, who recently left 'Coronation Street', picked up the Lifetime Achievement award for his portrayal of Mike Baldwin.

Charlie Hardwick, who plays Val Lambert in 'Emmerdale' claimed the award for Best Comedy Performance, while former co-star Leah Bracknell, who played Zoe Tate, picked up the award for Best Exit.
