Disney has postponed the release date of 'Prince Caspian', the second film to be based on CS Lewis' 'Chronicles of Narnia' series.

The sequel to last Christmas' hit film, 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe', was due for release next summer; it has now been rescheduled for summer 2008.

According to a Disney spokesman, the extra time is to give director Andrew Adamson more time to work on the special-effects-laden project.

'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' was Disney's top-grossing live-action film of all time, taking an estimated $742 million worldwide.
