Finnish heavy metal band Lordi kept their promise to 'bring rock to Eurovision' and handed their country its first title in the annual song contest's 51-year history.
The masked, horned, quintet finished comfortably ahead of a field of ballads and pop songs with their song 'Hard Rock Hallelujah'.
Thirty-five countries participated in the event, with 24 acts making it to the grand final.
Brian Kennedy finished 10th with his own composition 'Every Song Is A Cry For Love'.
