Former 'Emmerdale' star Amy Nuttall is in contention for one of the top honours at the Classical Brit Awards tonight.
The 23-year-old, who played Chloe Atkinson in the soap, will compete against violinist Nicola Benedetti and singers Katherine Jenkins and Hayley Westenra for the Album of the Year award.
Nuttall quit her role on 'Emmerdale' to concentrate on singing, recently releasing her debut album 'Best Days'.
She recently said: "I'm in shock. I didn't expect this at all. It was a real gamble leaving 'Emmerdale' but it seems to have paid off - so far."
Michael Parkinson is due to host the Classical Brit Awards at London's Royal Albert Hall tonight.
