'The Office' star Martin Freeman is to play Dutch painter Rembrandt van Rijn in 'Nightwatching', the new film from director Peter Greenaway.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the film tells the story of the creation of Rembrandt's 'The Nightwatch' and the effect it had on the painter's private life.
Minnie Driver and Sarah Polley also star in the film, which will begin shooting next month with locations in the Netherlands, Poland and Wales.
Freeman's new film, the comedy 'Confetti', opens in Irish cinemas this Friday, 5 May.
