Russell Crowe is to star in a new thriller called 'Tenderness'.
Variety reports that the film is based on the book of the same name by Robert Cormier and tells the story of a violent teenager and the police officer (Crowe) who tries to untangle his past.
'Tenderness' will be directed by 'Hide and Seek' helmer John Polson.
Crowe will shoot 'Tenderness' next month and then begins work on his next film, 'American Gangster', in July.
