D12 rapper Proof was shot dead at a club in Detroit yesterday morning.
The Detroit Free Press reports that another unidentified man was also shot during the incident at the CCC Club and is in a critical condition.
Proof, real name DeShaun Holton, was 32-years-old and had been best man at Eminem's wedding in January.
The CCC Club is situated on Eight Mile, the road made famous by the Eminem film '8 Mile'.
Proof had also appeared in '8 Mile'.
On New Year's Eve rapper Obie Trice was shot while driving in Detroit but has since recovered from his injuries.
