Actress Keira Knightley is donating the Vera Wang gown that she wore to the Oscars to Oxfam, to auction on eBay.
The 21-year-old actress has given the deep claret taffeta off-the-shoulder dress, which was custom made by Vera Wang, to the charity, in order to help raise proceeds to support the relief efforts in drought-hit East Africa.
Knightley said: "This is such an amazing dress and I am really pleased to be able to donate it to Oxfam."
"I have seen the TV reports on the horrendous drought in East Africa and I know how desperate things have become, so I am happy to be able to do something to help," she said.
Oxfam's director for East Africa, Paul Smith-Lomas, said: "Donations like this will help to fund this vital work. We hope the public will get behind this auction so that it is a great success."
Bidding for the dress is due to begin on 21 April and finish on 30 April.
