The Supreme Court has cleared the way for a new alternative rock music radio station to set up in Dublin.
Today the court dismissed the appeal against a High Court ruling regarding the awarding of the licence to Phantom FM.
The appeal was taken by Zed FM.
The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland said it was pleased with the outcome.
A spokesman for the Phantom FM consortium said the station hoped to launch its Dublin FM service in late summer.
