Colin Farrell's legal bid to prevent distribution of a sex tape made with a former girlfriend must proceed, a US judge has ruled.
Former glamour model, Nicole Narain - Playboy's Miss January 2002 - tried to have Farrell's lawsuit dismissed.
But Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elihu Berle instead directed Narain's lawyers to file an answer to Farrell's suit.
Narain is challenging the actor's claim that they agreed to keep the 14-minute videotape private.
An order prohibiting the tape from being distributed has been in place since July 2005.
Farrell was last seen on Irish screens in Terrence Malick's 'The New World'.
