Two years after escaping her role as Monica Geller on the long-running series 'Friends', Courteney Cox is set to return to the small screen in FX drama pilot 'Dirt'.
'Dirt', which is to explore the world of tabloid journalism, is to star Cox as Lucy Spiller, the editor-in-chief of two tabloid magazines.
Along with the show's director and writer, Matthew Carnahan, Cox and her husband, David Arquette, are credited as executive producers.
"We are absolutely thrilled that Courteney has chosen 'Dirt' for her return to series television," Nick Grad, the FX network's vice president of original programming, said on Tuesday.
Production begins next month in Los Angeles.
