Reality television star and hotel heiress Paris Hilton has been ordered to stay away from a Los Angeles party planner, after he won a restraining order against her.
Brian Quintana succeeded in taking out the order in Los Angeles Superior Court after claiming that Ms Hilton had shoved him and bombarded him with threatening phone calls.
Quintana says that he introduced Ms Hilton to her current boyfriend, Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos, but claims that she began a smear campaign against him after this and accused him of trying to get Mr Niarchos to dump her in favour of his former girlfriend Mary-Kate Olsen.
Ms Hilton was not in court when the order was granted but her spokesperson, Elliot Mintz, said afterwards, "I've known Paris and worked with her, and the kind of person that was described on the stand this afternoon doesn't resemble the woman that I know."
