A man was shot dead early yesterday morning near a New York video shoot for rapper Busta Rhymes.
According to reports, the dead man was 29-year-old Israel Ramirez, a longtime member of the rapper's entourage.
He was shot in the chest as he stood outside the building where as many as 500 people had gathered to film Rhymes' 'Touch It (The Remix)'.
Busta Rhymes, real name Trevor Smith, was not injured in the shooting.
Also unhurt were the performers that were due to make cameo appearances in the video, including Mary J Blige, 50 Cent, Missy Elliott and Lloyd Banks.
The incident may have been connected to an earlier argument on site.
