Grammy winner Sheryl Crow and seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong have split up.
The couple, who had dated for two years, got engaged last year.
A joint statement issued to People magazine in the US said: "After much thought and consideration we have made a very tough decision to split up."
The statement continued: "We both have a deep love and respect for each other, and we ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time."
Crow had recently posed for Allure magazine trying on a wedding dress and told Allure that she and Armstrong planned to marry in his hometown of Austin, Texas.
