'Friends' star Matthew Perry is returning to the small screen to play the lead role in an as-yet-untitled series.
The Hollywood Reporter says the series will be set behind the scenes of a fictional, long-running comedy sketch show.
Perry will play the show's brilliant comic writer who is forced out of his other position as a producer after an argument with the network.
The part was written with Perry in mind.
