The big screen adaptation of Dan Brown's bestseller 'The Da Vinci Code' will open the Cannes Film Festival on 17 May.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the Tom Hanks-starring film will open in France on the same day.
It will be released worldwide on 19 May.
Directed by 'Cinderella Man' and 'A Beautiful Mind' helmer Ron Howard, the film also stars Audrey Tautou, Jean Reno, Ian McKellen and Alfred Molina.
