With the new series of 'Lost' set to premiere on RTÉ Two on Monday 6 February, the cast of the award-winning adventure drama have been offered substantial pay rises in return for signing up for a third season.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the show's producer, Touchstone Television, has made offers which would see the actors earn almost $80,000 per episode for the third series.
While most cast members currently earn between $20,000 and $40,000, the actors are said to have no guarantees about the length of their tenure on the show in the future.
It is reported that all original cast members have been offered the same new deal with Matthew Fox, who plays the pivotal role of Jack in the series, earning an additional bonus of $250,000.
