The American soul legend, Wilson Pickett, best known for songs like 'In the Midnight Hour' and 'Mustang Sally', has died at the age of 64.
His manager said he had been ill for some time and had suffered a heart attack while in hospital near his home in Virginia.
Born in Alabama, Pickett moved to Detroit as a teenager. By 1965, he had signed a solo deal with Atlantic, and had a chart hit with 'In the Midnight Hour', which he co-wrote.
He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991.
