The White Stripes have become the latest musicians to be immortalised in an episode of 'The Simpsons'.
MTV News reports that the Detroit duo will appear in an episode called 'Jazzy and the Pussycats', which will be broadcast in the US in the autumn.
In the episode Jack and Meg White find themselves caught up in a family feud when Homer and Marge buy Bart a drum kit; he becomes a jazz drummer – a move which upsets his sister Lisa.
The White Stripes recorded their lines for the episode in New York on 30 November.
Other bands and solo artists who have appeared on 'The Simpsons' in the past include U2, REM, Britney Spears and 50 Cent.
