'Brokeback Mountain' and 'Walk the Line' were the big winners at the Golden Globes in Beverly Hills last night, winning four and three awards respectively.
'Brokeback Mountain' took the awards for Best Film, Best Director (Ang Lee), Best Screenplay (Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana) and Best Original Song ('A Love That Will Never Grow Old', written by Gustavo Santaolalla and Bernie Taupin, performed by Emmylou Harris).
The Johnny Cash biopic 'Walk the Line' was named Best Musical or Comedy, while its stars, Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon, took home the Best Actor and Actress in a Musical or Comedy awards.
Philip Seymour Hoffman was named Best Actor in a Drama for his performance in 'Capote' with 'Desperate Housewives' star Felicity Huffman winning the Best Actress in a Drama award for 'Transamerica'.
George Clooney and Rachel Weisz won the Best Supporting Actor and Actress awards for their performances in 'Syriana' and 'The Constant Gardener' respectively.
Anthony Hopkins was honoured with the Cecil B DeMille Award.
'Paradise Now' won Best Foreign Language Film and John Williams won Best Original Score for his work on 'Memoirs of a Geisha'.
