Thousands of teens audition for Harry Potter

Thousands of teenage girls, aged 13 to 16, queued for hours on Saturday to audition for a role in the next Harry Potter film.

The girls were trying out for the part of trainee wizard Luna Lovegood for the next film in the Harry Potter series.

The blonde-haired Lovegood first appears in 'Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix'.

She is described as having a somewhat distracted appearance and is called "Looney Lovegood" behind her back.

The auditions were taking place at the Westminster Central Hall in London.

The girl who wins the part will join long-term Harry Potter cast members Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint in the film of 'Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix'.
