Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty has been charged with possession of cocaine and heroin, according to the police.
The 26-year-old singer, who is best-known for his on-off relationship with supermodel Kate Moss, was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs last November.
Doherty is due to appear at Ealing Magistrates' Court in London on Wednesday.
A police spokeswoman refused to comment on media reports that Doherty had invited his fans to join him in court during a recent gig.
