Pop singer Robbie Williams has said in a recent interview that he is considering a career as a stand-up comedian.
In an interview with German newspaper Die Zeit, Williams said that he feels that a career in comedy would help to change the media image of him as a depressed performer.
"My father was a stand-up comedian for years. Maybe I will be one day too," he said. "I notice sometimes on stage that the music suddenly gets in the way because I just want to talk to the audience or make them laugh."
"For years there has been this public image of me that I have never understood. They say again and again that I'm a deeply depressed, sad bloke."
