George Galloway has been installed as a 14/1 outsider by bookies to win 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
The controversial Scottish MP's decision to appear on the show is the biggest surprise of this year's line-up.
Commenting on his decision to participate, Galloway explained in a statement: "It's good for politics. I believe that politicians should use every opportunity to communicate with people."
He continued: "I'm a great believer in the democratic process. 'Big Brother' is watched by millions. More young people vote during 'Big Brother' than in the General Election. I hope they'll all be voting for me over the next few weeks."
"If I win, it will be my greatest election victory since, well, since my last one," said Galloway.
Joining Galloway in the celebrity house are Sven Goran Eriksson's former lover Faria Alam, entertainer Michael Barrymore, 'Baywatch' star Traci Bingham, Dead or Alive singer Pete Burns and actress Rula Lenska.
Goldie Lookin' Chain member Maggot, glamour model Jodie Marsh, Samuel Preston from The Ordinary Boys, basketball player Dennis Rodman and Chantelle, a member of the public from Essex who has to convince her housemates that she is famous, complete the line-up.
Barrymore is the bookies' favourite to win at 3/1.
