Dublin actor Colin Farrell has checked in to a treatment centre for exhaustion and a dependency on prescription drugs.
His publicist, Danica Smith, issued a statement saying that the medication was prescribed to him after a back injury.
Smith said that the actor had checked himself into a treatment centre but refused to release any information on the location of the treatment centre or how long Farrell intends to stay.
"We ask that the press respect the privacy of Mr Farrell and his family," she added.
Farrell, who has starred in 'Alexander' and 'Phone Booth', has just completed work on his new film 'Miami Vice'.
