Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty will not face any further action in relation to his October arrest on suspicion of drugs possession.
West Mercia Police confirmed that the singer, who was detained in October, had been released from police bail.
A police spokesperson said: "A man arrested in Shrewsbury on October 1 on suspicion of a drugs offence following a complaint by a member of the public will not be prosecuted."
In a separate incident, Doherty was also arrested earlier this month in London on suspicion of possessing drugs.
