Singer Rod Stewart and his fiancée Penny Lancaster have announced that they will call their baby son Alastair Wallace Stewart.
The couple chose the name Alastair because of its Scottish origins and Wallace after Lancaster's grandfather, who died in a road accident in 2003.
A spokesperson for the couple said that father, mother and baby son are doing well. Alastair Wallace Stewart, who is the couple's first child, was born on 27 November in London.
Speaking about the birth, Lancaster said it was "the most empowering and spiritual experience" of her life.
