'X Factor' finalist Andy Pemberton, who performs as part of Journey South, was reportedly taken to hospital this week after the stress of appearing on the reality show began to take its toll.
The singer was checked out at a casualty department after complaining of severe headaches. According to reports, doctors said that the Journey South star was suffering from high blood pressure.
Speaking to The Sun, the singer said: "I didn’t have a headache - it was worse. It was just this overwhelming pain."
"It was scary and after a few days, I had to get it checked out and I was taken to the local A&E. The doctor told me I had high blood pressure and said I had to try and chill out."
Pemberton has had to move away from his wife Michelle and their six-month-old son Leo while participating in the show.
"It's hard to cope with everything. My lass can’t come down too often - it’s expensive. And the nerves every week before I get on stage are horrific," he said.
