Former 'Neighbours' star Kimberley Davies has been injured while jumping from a helicopter as part of a bush-tucker trial in 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here'.

Davies cracked a rib when she attempted to make a 15ft jump from the helicopter onto a floating target on a dam, when taking part in the 'Hell-O-Drop' challenge.

The actress made her first jump successfully but hit the water on her second attempt. Divers immediately rushed to assist the actress and she was then airlifted to hospital, where she was found to have suffered a hairline rib fracture.

Davies is due to kept in hospital overnight and has already been visited by her husband Jason, who is a surgeon.

A spokesperson for ITV said that the helicopter contractor had full safety clearance and performed the water drop stunt regularly.

"Kimberley had been given a full safety briefing beforehand when she was told that she must keep her arms down at her sides and her legs straight when entering the water," a spokesperson said.

"But on the second jump, when she brought her right hand up to her face to hold her nose, her elbow was at an angle as she entered the water."

Davies is the second star from the current series of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here' to be taken to hospital.

Last week former 'EastEnders' actress Elaine Lordan was admitted to hospital after collapsing twice during her first day in the jungle.
